  1. That’s a german roach. It’s very typical to find them in hard to access, dark and humid places in the kitchen. Contact your landlord, they need to get an exterminator.

These are pests, I am really sorry for you and your kitchen.

The sooner you will start the fight against them, the faster and cheaper the way to the positive outcome will be.

It’s quite annoying. We also had the same problem this summer in my WG. We ordered cockroach repellent boxes, they are like small boxes and you stick them in bottoms. They were very helpful. Also our landlord said its because of the moisture from the floor below.

That‘s a pest. Getting rid of those is basically now the job of the whole Wohnheim, they don‘t even need to be primarily from your flat. Problem is you can‘t do much if their primary nest comes from somewhere else. You have to trust that others feel the need to do something as well. Maybe Wohnheim landlords have more options to force measures on tenants idk. You need a repellent, poison traps and inform landlord.

Well, little roaches are baby roaches… they breed and hide in electronic devices, etc.. lived in Oz for a decade and am a pro when it comes to German cockroaches. Get a pestboy in asap…
