Pensieri? Suggerimenti?
Grazie!

commenting to follow. curious to see what the scam would be if you’re getting cash in hand, but it definitely rings all sorts of bells especially with a sent pic of a photo ID xD

I don’t get what they are trying to tell you with the cost of transport? But they obviously can not drive it anymore if it is unregistered it has to be transported somehow.
NEVER EVER move your communication away from Kleinanzeigen to a messenger. Kleinanzeigen won’t help you with a problem/scam when doing the sale through a messenger.
This may not be important for your case but it’s still important in general.
IF you get the money in cash AND it is not counterfeit, then this is unusual but not a scam. The transporter would have to come to your place though, since you cannot move the car yourself after unregistering it.
The scam would be for the transport fees. If they say theyll transfer you the money or something after you paying them.
This all tracks for me.
German used cars frequently get resold in Eastern Europe by car dealers. They usually don’t go themselves to pick up the car, but hire a middle-man to transport the car (usually not just one, but multiple at once).
If I was the buyer, I’d also send some details (or a picture and name) of the middle-man acting on my behalf. The buyer also probably let you know the transport is already paid for to avoid any… double-dipping by said middle-man.
Unless you’re handed counterfeit notes (which risks a lot of prison time for less than 1000 EUR…) or told by the middle-man that he will do a bank transfer instead, I don’t really see the scam angle here, unless you are supposed to fall for something after money exchanges hands (but at that point, just decline any refund).
Everyone on r/automobil say it is a scam…
Scam.
