Nah you just parked illegally and refuse to take accountability.

  2. You parked outside of a marked parking, which apparently is forbidden. So you get a fine.

Feels like you’re jumping to the discrimination card very fast. Random mistakes / unexplicable behavior by the police happen reasonably often.

Did you park significantly outside the parking lines? The blue text underneath your fine suggests that was the case.

Edit: Disregard, I didnt see the ither images at first, there seem to be no lines at all.

Sure, the only reason you got a fine is because the police is xenophobic. You parking outside of the allowed area has nothing to do with it.

You can’t just park your car anywhere you please. We live in a society with rules here

No you‘re not being targeted. Winterthur – in fact almost all of Switzerland – is notorious for being very strict with parking fines.

I‘ve got a fine because my axes were not entirely within the parking field.

The city made it actually more transparent, although with the result of removing parking space previously available. Public parking outside of a marked field (white or blue) -> fine

Also, Winterthur tightened it‘s parking regime this September. Your fine is an average experience.

Just follow the law and stop looking for excuses for your criminal behaviour.

In Switzerland you can request a parking ticket for a whole month or even year if you live on that street and the house doesn’t provide parking. Could it be that the other cars had such a card? (usually placed inside of the car, maybe it even works with the Nr. Plate and a database so that you dont see a card).

  10. This fine is probably fully justed. Note that you can usually only legally parking in cities where its marked.

Police usually fines everyone, we have rule of law. I guess the others where not there when the police was around.

  11. You are allowed to contest, then you can ask the police why you were the only one who got a fine. Don’t worry, if it’s a mistake they will cancel the fine 🍫

“I parked where i shouldn’t park and got fined. That is rascist.” /s

Not a parking zone. The other cars are not your problem, they might are allowed to park there but you are unable to check that.
Maybe they get the fine directly per mail. You don’t know that either.

So coming to the conclusion it must be xenophobic or unjust based on assumptions… you ok OP?

To be clear: in switzerland (unlike for example germany) you are only allowed to park, where it‘s clearly marked as a parking space. If it is now allowed, it is forbidden.

Unlike in germany, where its the opposite: when it is not forbidden, it is allowed.

Tbh its Winterthur. They are super aggressive with traffic violation fees. One time I stopped on the white line instead of before the white line at a traffic light and they fined me 250 Francs. I don’t go there anymore with my car and probably they are happy for it.

No, it’s just you 😆 – they’re all out to get you because you’re not Suisse

    Nonsensical

Parking in the blue zone would have been legal if you set the parkmeter right. The problem is you parked outside of the blue zone without special permission.

Under the QR code it literally says: In the city of winterthur, parking outside of designated parking spaces is prohibited. (Without a special permission)

I can confirm, was driving once with foreign plates and they checked me (violently) twice in 15 minutes though they were insisting it was “random”. What a joke. Guy tried to pull my doorhandle off while I was not even unbuckled from my seatbelt… As soon as I started speaking Schwiizerdütsch the boi had probably made his underpants heavier by 300g.

Maybe you have missed this [signal](https://stadt.winterthur.ch/gemeinde/verwaltung/stadtkanzlei/kommunikation-stadt-winterthur/medienmitteilungen-stadt-winterthur/die-blaue-zone-wird-fertig-markiert/plakatkampagne/sujet-der-plakatkampagne/download) – when you enter Winterthur you see the information that parking is only allowed in marked zones. Big A0 posters as this rule is quite new.

I can assure you the cities dont miss a chance to make parking fines – no mather from where the car is. So the “discriminatory” part is absolute rubbish. Maybe the other cars had a permit or are registrated.
