Domanda: Vedo che l’amministrazione locale divide il Paese in province, distretti e parrocchie. Queste parrocchie erano in qualche modo legate alla religione? Oppure si tratta solo di una traduzione fuorviante di una parola estone ambigua?

Parishes are not related to religion, it’s translated to English that way due to a lack of a better word. I would also add that provides are not a thing anymore and have not been for over a hundred years. They were and a thing during the times of the Russian empire
I like the missing “secret” towns
Check out how terrible the map is. Accurate maps were a big secret back then, and all the civilian maps were pretty much just as crooked. Regardless of the fact that by that point all the major powers had mapping and spy satellites for decades.
