I know they are making an effort to help the US when it comes to logistics in a “hey we are useful dont fuck this up” and “we will help but we have red lines dont cross them or we withdraw support” (helping with oil tanker a few days ago and withdrawing intelligence in the caribbean a month back) but these red lines need to be better communicated with the public. I’m also starting to wonder how much the anti American hate is led by hostile foreign actors trying to destabilize America. Whose playbook are we on at the minute. There is a lot of value in leaving the unknowns on the table, it adds risk to any decision trump makes. it won’t help because he is a narcissistic nepo baby who has had exactly what he wants all his life. The reactions of such a person can be modelled pretty accurately so rather than an overt Putin told Trump to do it, they are just manipulating him into doing it by goading the rest of the world into saying no.

What’s more the island definitely moved in the direction of the navy attempting to run them over causing the navy to shoot sideways at Greenland in self defense.

Hopefully we won’t get to find out but the idea that European countries will just roll over and give Trump what he wants is ridiculous. All the important European powers have a thousand reasons not to do that under any circumstances.
