Not advocating for animal cruelty, but I had pigeons create a nest underneath the railing of my balcony at my previous flat, was days away from killing those bastards myself.

Some pest control people do actually use slingshots, and they aren’t illegal. Anyone professional would surely have disposed of them properly however.
