I wish we held our politicians and top staff in public organizations to the same level of scrutiny. I mean that poor child Harvey with scoliosis died because someone didn’t do their job properly

As a site manager, this is a fundamental requirement for all tasks on site. Risk assessment for the task, mitigate risk as much as possible. Method statements to include the process to complete the task safely. Everyone goes home in one piece.
The issue is, it’s like herding grown ass toddlers to get them to stop taking risks.
I’ve heard all the bollocks over and over! “It’ll take two minutes” “I’ve been doing this for years” “I haven’t fallen yet and I’ve been doing it X years”
