Il governo abbandona i piani per rendere obbligatorio l’ID digitale per funzionare nel Regno Unito

Does the UK have any sort of government related ID? It just seems insane to me that the US doesn’t really have that for example. Like, you could just get a drivers license from God knows who and then do whatever, how is that ‘sane’.

In Germany, you get a government-issued ID to prove that you’re an actual citizen. In Denmark, healthcare is governed by the state, so the healthcare card takes care of that etc.
