Jeepers oh, that’s wild. I wonder was she motivated by the money and the paid time off or by the illusion /lie and fabricating a life she doesn’t have. It sounds more like a mental health issue than fraud (though it’s still that), and a little sad tbh.
My partner is a teacher and I completely understand why someone would do this. The benefits of maternity leave as a teacher are massive and they have colleagues who genuinely seem to have timed it specifically to maximise time off.
No judgment, you do you. But she was hired as management 4 years ago and hasn’t been present for any of that because of having 3 children.
This on the other hand, is just moronic. How she ever thought she could carry this to completion is beyond me.
