This will be a $36B deal for France and will increase India’s Rafale strength to 176 jets.
Deal will be signed during Macron’s visit to India in February.

It would be better to wait overall with the amount of rafale post that already have been posted, but otherwise new stuff are that the deal went from 20bn+ ~ to 30bn+ ~ , it also looks like that the info mentioning only 30% indian made for the rafale is false from the trend in general (it was coming from a really trustworthy source so it made a bit of a mess for a few days), India will have for a second time their own custom variant, this time for the f4, it’s called f4 star (even better spectra (optimized against pl15 ? it’s not clear with all the disinformation if India got one which the seeker which didn’t explode), satellite link etc…) from what i heard, no source code for India but still missile integration.

The India-EU rapprochement is evolving rapidly.

India is a massive geopolitical counterweight to China and Russia.
If Europe wants security independence from America, a strong relationship with India is the way to get it.

I don’t think that Dassault is going to accept to share the control of a successor fighter given the difference in success between Eurofighter and Rafale after this.
And honestly, I get it.

Pretty big deal, congratulations. Hopefully that puts to bed the inane nonsense one sees about Rafale after the clash with Pakistan
