Ho notato questo affare irreale nel mio SuperValu locale.
Costava 1,10€. Adesso 1,09€.
Si tratta di uno sconto di 1 centesimo, nel caso qualcuno voglia andare in pensione prima.
Grazie a Dio c’è quella grande etichetta rossa altrimenti me la sarei persa.
In questi tempi difficili, è bello vedere i rivenditori fare la loro parte ❤️
Per favore condividine altri "cambiando la vita" le offerte che hai trovato ultimamente così possiamo sopravvivere tutti insieme🙏

They’ve been doing this for years, it’s a tactic where people are more likely to buy things if it’s a “special offer” or temporary reduction. While most people do check, others will just associate the type of tag with a deal and just grab it without checking. Got 1c off my chickpeas in 2018.
Ive trained my brain to only look at price per KG when shopping & im never going back
I’d still check your receipt, knowing SuperValu they well probably charge you the original price …or more
Saw a great one months ago where it was like ‘GREAT SAVINGS— was €1.79 NOW €1.80’ I’d pointed it out to one of the staff and she said price has got up to €2+ so €1.80 was a saving but they forgot to change the original full price 🙄
Watch the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves…. said rich people.
I nearly fell for this bargain yesterday in SuperValu too, the 18 waffle pack works out as .25c Each, the Deal works out at .33c Each, you really need to check the Price per KG on all these deals!

A penny saved is a penny earned!
Relevant story from the dim and distant days of my youth: Many years ago my best friend and I were knocking around Dunlaoighre when I spotted a penny on the ground (back in those days they were actual pennys and not cent). I bent down to pick it up and my friend mocked me for picking a dirty coin off the ground. “That is not worth the effort of picking it up” he laughed. A little later we went into a sweetshop to spend out pocket money on some tooth rotting junk and lo and behold my friend came up exactly one penny short for his chosen confectionary. Needless to say I handed him the dirty penny with a gleeful reminder of his earlier mocking.
True story and one that I have never forgotten. I still cannot pass a coin on the ground without picking it up.
Thank you for this amazing peak r/ireland post to brighten up this miserable Monday
To be fair, what is it that Supervalu says – every little helps under the tree at Supervalu values you.
It must be hilarious for the staff having to put these up. I hope so.at least. We use the local SuperValu here a lot and they’re lovely folks in there.
Bargain of the year wow just wow 🤓
We don’t know when we have it good /s
The funny thing is, my SuperValu “rounds up” so if I was buying just that it’d still be €1.10
Buy 110, get 1 free
Original price labels should be bigger than that it’s very deceiving what some retailers do by making the original price very small
