What an odd article. It gives only vague reasons “but issues with finance have arisen” and has a bunch of simple single sentence paragraphs which often repeat info. I’d say it was AI but they put the writers name and image.

We’re such a joke of a country. Property transfer delays on a handful of units for a year makes the national news. I mean, it’s shite, and you’d feel for the people who were held up getting social housing, but it’s petty bullshit.

How much more do AHBs want to shake down the local authorities and government for?
We have such a weird housing system. Private companies with directors and employees (and the wealth extraction that goes along with that) whose only purpose is to take the lowest segment of society off public housing waiting lists into apartments that other private companies are obliged to provide, and put those same low income people right next to people who are working every hour God sends and up to their neck in debt for, paid for by those people’s own tax money and used against them in a multitude of different ways.
