This is even funnier because Heisenberg is a teacher. And as we all know, most teachers in Germany are Beamte, who usually have excellent health insurance.

Walter White didn’t have to sell drugs in the show either, but he refused all help because of his ego. And even after he treated his cancer and got money for his son’s college he could have stopped, but again his ego didn’t allow it.

He would never discover he had cancer, because doctors would tell him to go home and have some tea.

If by some miracle they were motivated to spend money on tests, he would get an appointment in a few years for treatment and die before.

For the record, he was offered help in the very first episode.

Wasn’t a big part of the show that he didn’t actually need it for either of those?

He’d need to do it to pay the mortgage and tax bill instead 😂

Can we as a society please stop using question marks like that?

If you’re self employed and just getting you’re footing, this welfare state bleeds you so dry from the get go, I doesn’t even make sense to start. Nothing here is free. It costs taxes and social security fees. The regular German employee, all of this combined and calculated in months, makes his first cent starting July, until then he solely pays to the government. There used to be an out: Freelance, leave the country, have no type of income in Germany (including interest) and your tax and social security free. Did that and the intenational health insurance (without USA) costs halve as much as public healthcare in Germany. And when I needed them after an accident, I was pampered like never before, even got an interpreter to accompany to hospital visits. Our system is NOT superior. If you’re low income self-employed because you love your freedom, it pushes you into poverty!

Saxony, after 5 days no sleep, breathing abrasive air whilst cooking: Wait what?
