    *Board of Peace* is an international organisation established by Donald Trump that is nominally proposed to promote peacekeeping. It has been described as a vanity project and attracted concern that is seeks to usurp the role of the United Nations. Donald Trump has been appointed as the inaugural chairman, which is a lifetime position and who has the sole power to appoint and dismiss members, set agendas and issue resolutions.

    BoP was announced 29.9.2025 and was established yesterday, 22.1.2026. It has 26 member states. A state can obtain a permanent seat by paying 1 billion (10^(9)) US dollar fee into fund controlled by Donald Trump. Notably Denmark has not received an invitation and Canada was originally invited but the invitation was later withdrawn.

  2. The colors are confusing. At first moment I thought that half of the Europ bowed down and joined. Giving green as “refused” although makes some point, as it is positive output, still misleads.

    Bulgaria just said they want in that Peace Board. They didn’t sign yet, they have a political crise. President resign last week, the new goverment it is just untill the next election.

    Pls a bulgarian to correct me.

    Edit: Romania rejected. The President Nicusor Dan had said yesterday that Romania will not accept the invitation.

    Kinda curious what the Vatican will do here. On one hand their founder was literally all about peace. On the other hand, standing shoulder to shoulder with authoritarian leaders and a few actual criminals would bring some backlash and bad press. Awkward optics either way.

    I am glad so many refused. Come on Portugal… whatchu waiting for?

    We live in such a fewer dream

    “Donald Trump is explicitly named in the Charter of the Board of Peace as its inaugural Chairman. The chairman has no term limit and they alone have the authority to nominate their designated successor. Only the Chairman has the ability to invite countries to join the board. The Chairman has the exclusive authority to create, modify, or dissolve subsidiary entities of the Board of Peace. All revisions to the Charter and administrative directives issued by the Board of Peace are subject to approval by the Chairman.[41] Trump’s chairmanship of the Board of Peace is independent to him holding the presidency of the United States and he has indicated that he would like to remain chairman for life.”

    “Countries that wish to be permanent members of the Board of Peace must pay US$1 billion into a fund controlled by chairman Donald Trump”

    Honestly how comes there are no protests against that shit. For some of those countries, a billion dollars is half their whole budget

    I like how green is used instead of red for “refused”. Subtle.

    Every EU member that joins this corruption committee should be withheld funds from the EU until they have left this absurd idea of the Fascistic Dictator of the USA.

  9. In true Austrian fashion we should counter offer to join the board if we can do so for free and if there is a buffet. Lol

    He invited the Pope ???? (but neither Belgium nor Luxemburg)

    Inviting the Vatican is pretty funny, but I think the pope might be closer to declaring Trump the antichrist than to join this thing.

    This clearly shows some countries true colors. (quite literally)

    So with the state of Hungary’s economy and industrial sector. Viktor Orban found 1b to give to Trump (personally) to be ona board of a fictional entity ? Why is EU giving any funding to Albania and Kosovo if they have 1b each to spare on gifts to Trump..

    The money they paid is not going to some fund to help Gaza or Palestine or whomever it goes directly to a private entity owned by Trump…literally self enrichment.

    Why would countries subject themselves to Trump’s latest extortion ring? His own, personal disUN.

    Orbán is planning to pay Trump with OUR MONEY. I hope it reaches as many people as possible, and someone explains them that this is going to affect them directly.

    I think whomever made the made doesn’t like the board of peace.

    Colour coding usually has:
    * Green = affirmative/positive (as in is a member)
    * Yellow = neutral/pending/mixed
    * Red = not/negative.

    Does this mean every red country paid 1B dollars? Or is there no enter price anymore?

    If our new stupid, populist Orban-like and Fico-like government accepts this, then we deserve all the hate we can get. It is surreal how far my country has fallen in such a short time. From common Czech Ws to common Czech Ls. Our PM Babiš is a big fan of Trump and as him, he is businessman and con man.

    Never replying and ghosting him is actually a better burn than promptly declining!

    Interesting how which is marked as red and which green based on the poster.

  21. NorgesTaff on

    What a fucking joke and any normal country that accepted should be embarrassed at themselves.

  22. overthinkingmessiah on

    As usual Portugal waits for everyone else to act before lifting a finger

    Denmark wasn’t invited? Does the yellow dot in Italy mean the Vatican was invited??
