This is just weird. They couldn’t find a real person so they made one up, but I suppose that’s on brand for the fash, to just make something up.

This article does a terrible job of explaining what the deal with this character is.

Well, it’s not an AI generated schoolgirl, it’s a government funded image of a schoolgirl doing exactly what she is meant to do – becoming popular in the far right

  4. I suggest a logical first step for people who haven’t should be to ‘play’ the Pathways game, first as a normal human being giving sensible answers, and then the second time as a horny teenager with no political views whatsoever only giving answers with the goal of getting Amelia to like you, as most stupid teenagers probably would.

I say this because I think the natural, apolitical reaction should be to relentlessly take the piss out of what is rather incompetently done government propaganda. Incredibly simple and obvious choices like ‘do your own research’ lead to you being radicalised, whereas under the latter, even if you cynically do not give a single iota of a shit about politics and just see it as a bad dating game, it makes a number of comical leaps.

I think there is a real risk here in effectively ceding the ‘joke’ to the far right, when ‘shit government mandated L&D’ is a highly universal trope, as is the ‘hot but crazy’ dating trope that emerges in many sitcoms. I think being excessively po-faced isn’t going to help anyone, snd instead it is better to just laugh at all of it.

It’s an absolutely bizarre choice from the government.

I don’t know about anyone else but that is nothing like the archetype of a right wing person. Quite the opposite in fact.

  6. Twitter is full of ai posts now. it will become almost indistinguishable from real photos and videos. The next generation will no longer be able to determine real from fake media without a disclaimer if its made to have hyper realism. The same for written journalism, modelling, advertising, podcasts, documentaries…everything

When the propaganda backfires lmao. Good on the youth for seeing straight through the nonsense.

Honestly the degree of self-sabotage whenever our government or media involve anything “anti far-right” has me a bit worried.

I haven’t played this game, so i don’t understand her role. So, the government’s response to far-right extremism in young men was to blame it on a woman?

None of this would have happened if they’d given her blue hair.

The “game” it’s referencing is so bad that I think it might have been created by right wingers purely to make the left look shit…they might as well have gone the whole hog and arrested the protagonist for saying he was English…

One HUGE detail being missed here is that this game is from 2023, so was implemented under the Tory government.

Certainly makes you wonder how anti-far right they were considering most of them from that time are in Reform now.

I do find it kinda funny that they went for a style so removed from the average right wing woman. Though when its aimed at teenage boys i get why they didnt opt for the standard leathery sack of racism adorned with a tuft of hideously thin bright blonde hair. No teenager in the land wants a crack at that

Lol the article thinks it’s only “niche groups” and “far-right”s who actually care about this meme. Trying to frame it as something the far-right (who are obviously wrong) is maliciously using to their advantage, as opposed to normal average people having a major problem with 1984 rehab.
