Turkey, Israel and Pakistan are there, sime of the militarily strongest countries in the world. Plus their military intelligence operations are unmatched.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, uKwait and the UAE are there, alongside Azerbaijan. These are powerful Petro-states.
Plus with Egypt and Morocco they lock down the Med.
Hungary gives them EU presence. Alongside Albania and Kosovo. Bulgaria too, after their election.
And Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan lock down Central Asia.
Maybe this isn’t something to scoff at just because Trump did it. He may be an idiot but the people working in USA intelligence are far from it. They usually know what they’re doing. And if this was their suggestion it could be more than just a narcissists vanity project.
