Long swim that
These people are young, speak the language, provide skills that are hard to find in Spain, and have affinity to Spanish culture. Much higher chance of being a success story as long as they don’t lose control of the number of people coming in
Probably a return to the genetic homeland for quite a few.
This is likely to prove a win for Spain (which has huge amounts of empty space and declining demographics, but loads of economicpotential), IF Spain can build plenty of housing and add more public transport.
Don’t they have lots from Africa as well?
This is much better than immigrants from a totally foreign culture who don’t even speak the language.
This is why salaries don’t increase in Spain. The EU needs to get involved and request visa to come to visit a Schengen country or making impossible to to acquire a work permit from Spain if you came as a tourist.
Something i want to point out is that that number is irregular migrants wich has a lot more nuance than the title suggests in english
Wich includes legal migrants who are waiting for their papers to be renewed but bureaucracy is slow(this has hapened to a lot of migrants i know like my english teacher and his family) and are not illegal migrants if they are in said process as you are allowed to stay while it resolves, but you arent a regular migrant.
tis your ROI on colonization
I wonder, does Portugal get a lot of Brazilians?
It’s interesting hearing positive comments about immigration. Back to the dumpster fire of my country
Mi Gente
Well, they should probably be allowed for… historical reasons
They’re going beyond Spain now. My city has seen a big influx of Latin Americans arriving via Spain.
Honestly, aside from being obnoxiously bloody loud on public transport, they’re fine. They are already culturally similar and integrate well here too. I’d rather have many more of them than those of certain religious affiliations.
Can they come to Romania too?
