Good. Your delay is not a burden the taxpayer should shoulder.

Good. They had plenty of warning and the government ran nationwide information campaigns. Why should the taxpayer pay for their own negligence?

If you want a handout shake a can outside Tesco Express like everyone else in the underclass. The WASPIS are a product of their own incompetency
Maybe if they took a break from being totally strung out on pills they could’ve done some life admin when they were adults

Taxpayer resources already compensated Waspi women. They paid for the decade of signposting, targeted directly at the people affected, which tens-to-hundreds of thousands of people managed to follow with no issues.
If it still doesn’t feel fair to you then start a GoFundMe. This is the definition of a you problem.

And that, is hopefully, that. I’m sorry the majority of WASPIs have to make do with retiring with a state pension at 65, with their homes paid off. The kind of stuff gen X onwards can only dream of. Life just isn’t fair.

>The government reconsidered the case after a new document came to light, but has again concluded no compensation should be paid.
Good. I was a bit worried that the government would take the opportunity from there being a new document being reviewed to back down, and try and buy some credit with these women.
>The Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) group said the latest decision demonstrated “utter contempt” for those affected.
Quite rightly so, we *should* have contempt for them. They’re trying to weasel their way into getting millions of pounds in a hand-out that they don’t deserve. Their claim is that they planned their retirement around retiring at 60. However, the women in question did none of the following:
* Watch the news or read a newspaper.
* Talk to any friends, family members or colleagues about retirement.
* Talk to their employer about their retirement plan.
* Speak to a pensions advisor.
* Google anything about pensions.
* Check to see how large a pension they would be receiving, to make sure that they were able to actually live off that amount (because anything that told them an amount would also have told them when it would start being paid).
And they managed to avoid doing any of those for more than *fifteen years*.
So in what sense can they say that they “planned” their retirement based around it starting at 60, given that they did nothing that might constitute the word “planning”?

Thank fuck for that.
I’m going to enjoy WASPICompoface news articles.

J K Rowling can pay for the compensation. Since she’s so bothered about women’s rights.

Good.
We have to get a way from this notion that if people complain enough, the government will chuck money at them.
This countries finances are fucked, because we are spending far too much money.

How can they say they weren’t warned of the change?? Maybe they should have put a little notice under the crossword puzzle in the paper.

Waspi is the worst possible way of framing this. They got the equality they wanted and got to retire a decade earlier than women today

Good, the greedy WASPI’s should not get a penny… sorry being thick/ignorant of a change like this, doesn’t mean you should get anything.
EDIT:
>Liberal Democrat work and pensions spokesperson Steve Darling MP said affected women will feel “utterly betrayed” by the decision.
>”False hope was given to them in the autumn, and so that hope has been dashed,” he said.
>Ann Davies MP, the work and pensions spokesperson for Plaid Cymru, said: “The changes to the state pension age were poorly communicated, rushed through, and fundamentally unfair.
Also why no one serious can vote for parties like lib dems or PC…. they are utterly stupid, to still be pushing this…

Good. This really needs to be put to bed.
I’m sorry that these ladies might have to retire a few years later than they hoped, but they still be retiring at a far younger age than the generation that follows them and who would have had to foot the bill for this.

So many people on here supporting the government- can I ask you, when the government do something similar to you in years to come, are you going to be ok with that?
_I have no affiliation with the WASPI, just genuinely curious about all the hate._

I don’t think I’ve hated a political group quite like the WASPI women.
Truly despicable humans who take no responsibility for their idiocy.
