Fun fact, that church in the middle – The Black Church – was built by Bulgarian workmen in the 14th century, who later on stayed in the city and established the Schei neighbourhood.

In 1211, by order of King [Andrew II of Hungary](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_II_of_Hungary), the [Teutonic Knights](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teutonic_Knights) fortified the [Burzenland](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burzenland) to defend the border of the [Kingdom of Hungary](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Hungary). On the site of the village of Brașov, the Teutonic Knights built Kronstadt – ‘the City of the Crown’.
