it really is great. I was in Hamburg for work last week, and I don’t need to think for a second about buying a ticket. I get off the ICE and get on whatever local transit I like. I took Ferries, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, buses etc.
Just so convenient not to fuss about it.

I would say one of the best government investments of my tax money that I get to enjoy directly. It was too much of a hassle thinking about zones, regions, prices, etc before. Now, travel is stressfree and more affordable. Although the prices are rising almost every year.

It used to be 9€ a month and I had that for 3 months even though I hardly used the trains in that time, i bought it to support the ÖPNV – I wish we had a general 9€ “tax” for everyone and all ÖPNV would be free to use for all.
