The survey, conducted last autumn, found 72% of respondents expressed high worry about active wars near EU borders, whilst 69% said they were highly concerned about disinformation.
Other major security concerns included terrorism (67%), natural disasters worsened by climate change (66%) and cyber-attacks from non-EU countries (66%).
“What is striking is to see that it’s across member states,” European Parliament spokesperson Delphine Colard told Euronews.

I mean, we are threatened by the most powerful military nation in the world plus by our immediate eastern neighbour, which is still able to cause havoc despite its weakening (especially if the two band together against us).
Both of them are proficient in disinformation, with the former owning most social media and having explicitly set the support of far-right europhobic parties as a strategic goal, and the second is renowned for interfering in most elections, perpetrating terror attacks and disinformation campaigns, as well as corrupting most of the same far-right europhobic parties that are supported by the former.
I would love not to be worried about wars and disinformation, but I don’t see how that would be physically possible.
