It’s exactly about this: **thousands of innocent civilians died on both sides in Baku in 1918.** Can we at the very least acknowledge that this was tragic and should never have happened? As an Armenian, I regret the deaths of Azerbaijani civilians and of course the deaths of Armenian civilians as well. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may their losses not be meaningless, but a lesson for us all.

As an Armenian, I regret the deaths of Azerbaijani civilians and of course the deaths of Armenian civilians as well.
