Nothing to see here – Silesian separatists submit these proposals on a regular basis. Silesian is a dialect at best, and it’s gradually dying off anyway.

A nationalist hates our history of diversity, fork found in kitchen.

I get it why he would want to stop any separatist movements, it is his constitutional duty after all so logically he needs to veto it BUT when I ask my Silesian friends to speak how they at home I can’t understand anything.

Obviously the language thing is a step in a process of getting autonomy or even independence.
Different language, different nation, the right to self determination, self governance and finally the right to an independent state.

That’s what the UN charter says – “all peoples (as in nations) have the right to self determination of their political status i.e. independence.

If the Silensians eventually get recognized as a separate nation then they have a legal grounds for independence.

    Simple.

Fun Fact: in the 2nd Republic the biggest nationalist (endecja and similiar parties) base by percentage were… Kashubians. This is a scale Slavic miniorities wanna to go to Germany. Confusing them with real German minority is some obsesion of idiots voting for Braun who spent half of their life working in foreign countries and trying to compensate that by declaring themselfts a real patriots.

  5. Good, because it’s not a language, it’s only beeing used by Russian bots to grow separatist sentiments in Poland

This is pretty sensitive topic and honestly I’d just listen to how researchers classify it. From what I’ve hear they rather see it as a language. I mean I don’t understand most of sentences it’s got almost nothing to Polish.

Because its a dialect and not a language – that’s how it’s classified

The previous one, Duda was nicknamed ballpen, as he signed everything his party wanted, without questioning.

Why duda was singing anthem from the tablet? If handed on paper, he would sign it.

The new guy, maybe should have nickname like vetoman, idk. He had a nickname Batyr in previous job, whatever it means.

  10. Even though I cannot speak Silesian at all, and I do not even live in Poland, as a Czech Silesian I feel an obligation to be enraged by this on behalf of my Silesian brothers.
