Because it was never about deporting them. If they truly cared about deportation, they wouldn’t be running around chasing people when it’s so easy to find them. They are just oligarchs in power. They either kidnap poor people to make them do unpaid labor, or keep them hostage till they figure out what use they can make out of them.

Even if they were immigrants without proper papers, they have no right to treat them this way, there is laws for this for a reason, but they’re breaking every single one of them.
