To remove Andrew from the line of succession would be to admit that the whole notion of royalty is a busted flush.
The entire point of royalty is that the line of succession is sacrosanct – otherwise, if we start saying who should, or should not be king (or queen), then we are electing a king or queen.
Might as well go the whole hog and have an elected (or nominated) President.
FWIW, I would rather we got rid of the whole lot of them and had someone who earned the highest position in the land on merit rather than an accident of birth
