Ciao a tutti,

Qualsiasi consiglio o esperienza in merito sarebbe molto apprezzata! Grazie, buona fortuna!

  1. You’re fine. It’s a toy.

My kids actually had the same one. It’s so very awful, but they enjoyed it.

No, you’re not allowed to do that. The STVO clearly stated that Blue flashing lights are only to be mounted on fire / police vehicle.

You also cannot mount a siren that sounds like police / ambulance / firefighters, etc. That’d be “Amtsanmahsung”. If anyone is going to fine you for that is a different question. Fact is that it’s technically not legal.

    Nope. It is not.

A bell is required, a siren is prohibited.

All lights that meet the rules have a little wiggely wave symbol followed by the letter K and then a number.

Lights have to be white in the front and red in the back.

Flashing blue lights are definitely not allowed.

    No, it’s not allowed.

    “Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung (StVZO)
    § 64a

Thanks everyone for your reply. I am not sure why they sell it on Smyth Toys when it is not legal. The box also says to mount it on a bike. I am so confused.

  6. >private property?

As we are on this matter: Private property in Germany means a “umfriedeter Bereich”, which requires at least a fence preventing people from randomly walking into it.

Without that, all regular street laws also apply (for example, on your driveway connected to the road or (the classic) on supermarket parking lots).

  7. Despite what everyone else say I would say it is legal.

At least for a kids bike.

You have both in StVZO and StVO paragraphs that say that kid bikes are not “vehicles” in regard of those laws

    § 16 StVZO

So basically no rules regarding vehicles are applied to kids bike
