Well known facts since the early 90’s and no one in the world has a plan to solve it, good times ahead
Let’s just tax the new cash and asset strapped generation more to cover this?
There will be no pensions for anyone below 40. It is time for some honesty. We will neither reproduce sufficiently, nor accept the level of migration required.

Not to worry lads, “The demographics will look after themselves”.
My parents are approaching retirement and consolidated/restructured their pensions last year and they were told they will probably be the last generation to get the state pension automatically, everyone going forward will be means tested. Obviously nothing from the government about it but if private financial institutions are saying and planning for it then something must be happening in the background
The solution is quite simple. We need a baby boom, the government needs to make conditions more attractive for people to have children, by giving incentives like free childcare, tax breaks etc
I simply cannot afford to retire when such a large % of my salary goes to rent and some food
They robbed a heap of money out of my pension a few years ago. Most people wont forget that. And they havent bothered protecting pensions since then wither, so whenever they feel like it they will be back to rob some more.
FFG: Best make the country a place that nobody under 40 can live in!
Dont worry lads, apparently the bomb went off last year:

Don’t worry when it comes close everyone working will be taxed to the hilt to pay the states pensions
Ours is far further away than most of western Europe so we’ll be able to see what they do first
Then stop wasting money on bike sheds and all the rest of it !!!
I think I’d genuinely rather watch the nation fall apart than be expected to pay more of my money into the pensions of generations who have consistently voted Fine Gael/Fianna Fail and pulled the housing ladder up behind them. I have my pension privately sorted since 22. G’luck to nannies and grandads around the country, my sympathy is at zero. Back to work.
