This is how the article explains it: “Strong trade links and big tourism industries in these countries mean employers want bilingual employees who can welcome visitors from Spain, negotiate with partners in Poland, or lead tours for English-speaking travelers.”
But I’d love to hear what you all think is contributing to this.
As the article points out, it has to do with tourism, and industry with abysmally dogshit pay. So while the percentage increase is big, the actual amount of money it translates to is essentially nothing compared to the actual returns of smaller percentages offered by other countries.
fuck off with your advertising, preply
As if it wasnt enough to mess constantly my youtube feed with your silly ads and collabs (in which i have zero interest, btw) you have to put crap on reddit too?
Thanks, preply.
That said…. The language has its uses. But if the job listing doesnt ask for it (and many arent going to) they will brush it off as if it was something entirely irrelevant.
Lol this is shameless self promoting shilling from Preply
About half of Spaniards already live in bilingual regions. Or it’s not *that kind* of bilingualism?
