MOSCOW, March 4 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested on Wednesday that Russia could stop supplying gas to European markets ‌now and move to more promising markets.

The European Commission [will submit](https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/eu-propose-permanent-ban-russian-oil-after-hungary-election-document-shows-2026-02-24/) a legal proposal to permanently ban russian oil imports on April 15, three days after Hungary’s parliamentary election, according to EU officials and a document seen by Reuters.

Gentle reminder that, between January 2022 – August 2025, Europe has spent more on Russian energy imports than they have provided in aid to Ukraine

So he’s getting the hint that we don’t want it then. Finally.

Well, I never thought I would say it:

    Thank you Putin.

    Go ahead, if you dare.

Nothing better as a message to their economy than self-imposing the sanctions others couldn’t fully apply or enforce… 😄😄😄

Gotta pump the price, so they can maximize profits.

lol que looks like the putin monkey meme in this photo

  9. this is hilarious … the eu commision finalises the cutoff from russian gas and now puting tries to switch it around.

“you can’t fire me, i fire you”

sitcom lvl shit of stupid right there

and what “promising markets” … china still hasn’t agreed to the pipeline and russian ships have a tendency to explode violently.

  10. Frau Reiche in Germany is not embarrassed that she still promotes gas as reliable energy source.

He’s taking advantage of the war in Iran to push up prices to harm Europe with words. In the big scheme of things there’s no real different attitude. Still selling to Europe, still getting their shadow fleet blown up and still on all fours for China which is their only relevant country you could call “ally”.

Since Ukraine just blew up one of the main hubs for pumping it, he might not have much choice.

Surely Orban will start blaming Putin now. Right?

He’d be taken more seriously if he’d made the threat in the fall rather than towards the end of winter.

Just as prices are spiking from his cock holster’s war on Iran?

Nah. He wants the money for his war machine.

China and India have replaced Europe when it comes to buying russian oil and gas. So, yeah, he *can* do that, for sure. No major economic downside for him in doing so.

BUT. I’m also thinking. His main buyers inside the EU are Hungary and Slovakia, his two loyal dogs. So… ending the supply to Europe, would mostly mean hurt his two trojan horses that ruin the unity for european decision making. Wonder how long Orban and Fico would remain loyal to him if he did that.
