Does increasing the costs and requirements when hiring women increase or decrease the chances a business will hire a woman?
I absolutely agree women bear a unique burden during childcare and menopause that men don’t. But the government should pay up – making businesses do it just means they won’t hire women.
It’s possible to misinterpret what I’m saying as misogynistic or something but this is a pretty obvious and mainstream opinion. If you had to pay a fee of 10k every time you hired a woman but not when hiring men it’s obvious what the effect would be. Law or no law.
