Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the math is some kind of wishful thinking:
a single Russian life at approximately $2.6 million, while a serious injury is valued at $270,000
From Russia’s POV:
– prisons almost empty
– undesirable minorities reduced
– human loss is hardly an issues
Sure, the economy is hurt long-term, but it’s compared to a potential, that wouldn’t have been reached anyway.
