    In the Russo-Swedish War (1808–1809), the Russian army primarily used smoothbore flintlock muskets.
    Model 1805 Musket: The most common weapon at the start of the war. It was heavy (over 5 kg) and reliable, but tiring to carry.
    Model 1808 Musket: Introduced during the war. It was lighter and more modern, becoming the new standard for the Russian infantry.
    The Bayonet: Every musket had a long, triangular blade attached to the end. Since muskets were inaccurate, many battles were decided by bayonet charges in close combat.
    Rifles (Stutser): Used only by elite Jäger units (sharpshooters). These had grooved barrels making them more accurate than muskets, but they were much slower to load.
