On March 6, 2026, the second round of the prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia took place in a “500 for 500” format.
Frontliner reporters captured the first moments when families received the news and were reunited with their loved ones.
Many others did not receive the deeply hoped-for news but still attend POW exchanges, hoping to learn something about their loved ones and to make sure they are not forgotten.
