Immigration and Integration Minister **Rasmus Stoklund (**The **Social Democrats)** is presenting yet another proposal on immigration during the ongoing election campaign.
In an interview with *Berlingske*, the minister says that if a person exposes healthcare personnel to violence, that person should, in addition to their sentence, also be able to receive a quarantine from the healthcare system.
During the quarantine period, the convicted person will not be able to receive non-emergency treatment in the healthcare system unless he or she pays for it themselves.
Stoklund expects that the proposal will affect “people with roots in the Middle East,” even though the proposal in principle is aimed at everyone regardless of origin.
“It is no secret that we unfortunately have seen an overrepresentation in the violent crime statistics among foreigners with roots in the Middle East,” Stoklund tells *Berlingske*.
Is that really a big issue in Denmark? The medical staff being attacked?

I think it’s a good step for the safety of personnel. If someone can attack staff, then they can also pay for their treatment. As long as someone is outright not denied emergency care based on this, I think it’s okay.
They also want deportations to be administrative, so goodbye to the judicial system.

Reading the comments i rembered how much racist are there in this sub, it is not just denmark.
Most attacks on healthcare staff are from people with mental health issues / degenerative cognitive illness. Framing it as a race issue is stupid.
