It sucks to say but we are paying for them to shield mainland Europe from Russian invasion. The problem is both the US and the EU want to play silly bollocks about this. I do think we need to be more transactional with the EU on this as they take our military support for granted compared to America who get a bunch of benefits out of it. We do not get those same benefits and are usually handed shitty deals from them.

Give it up mate, we’ve moved on to Iran now, same as when we moved on from covid when your war started, same as how (most of us) moved on from Brexit when Covid started, same as we moved on from austerity when Brexit started etc etc
