So, it’ll still be over €2 for a litre of diesel.

    Whoop-di-fucking-do.

The garage beside my house put their diesel up by 13 cent on Saturday 😂

They’ll also increase the carbon tax in a few months 🤷🏼‍♂️

The Petrol stations will be delighted they get to eat this extra profit

They will increase it tonight/tomorrow to bring it back down for midnight tomorrow

20 cent?! They broke their bloody hearts on that didn’t they.

And they all hiked again today so they still can get the money.
    Absolute joke

Most petrol stations have priced that in over the last few days, madness

Getting the decking done out the back. Gavan Lambe Murphy is cutting the ribbon.

There is such a massive disparity in the pricing of fuel across the board. Surely if one petrol brand has it one price it should be the same for all of them. Diesel 1.70ish to 2.35 per litre 1.70 to 2.00 per litre for unleaded.

Will the petrol stations reciprocate these reductions or continue to gouge to counter the reduction in cost?

Entirely coincidentally the price of diesel and the price of petrol have gone up by 20c and 15c respectively tonight due to “volatile market conditions”

    >It is also expected that a new cross-government taskforce will be established to respond to the growing economic challenges with a focus on Ireland’s need to fast-track renewable energy.

Another multi milion taskforce is exactly what we need.

Wow, 20 whole cent of the 52 cent excise, how generous, not gona get rid of 30+ VAT on what are unambigiously “essential necessities” & as such should never have been subject to VAT in first place.

This will be swallowed in a day by the greedy 4 court c*nts & they’ll do nothing, exactly as happened last time they did this

Revenue should be looking at the profits of fuel supply companies and taxing 99% anything over normal income.

This was their best idea after nearly a month of ‘observing’ the situation.

Like every single govt decision, it’s a half arsed *solution* that’s more an attempt to cover their arses than actually helping the people they are supposed to represent

None of it actually matters though because they’ll be voted back in the next election and the cycle will begin again. We’re truly fucked

2.28 for a liter of Diesel in Maynooth. So 2.08 when the discount kicks in and God knows how much once Israel start bombing Iranian oil fields.

  18. Might as well rewind 3 years. It’s the same shite all over again, instead of Russia it’s Iran.

Looking forward to what will probably be the China fuel crisis in another 3 years.

    3 weeks for this response.

About time they pay for their commute to work.

  20. Won’t this just be inflationary and we’ll just end up where we started?.

  21. JMcDesign1 on

So I’m guessing that there is no Fuel Allowance Double Payment? God forbid they do something that actually helps people.

  22. Lol another FFG policy to line private pockets with public money. How long are we going to get ridden by this corrupt cunts?
