Doesn’t matter what they were doing, pushing someone of a ladder is just downright stupid.

  2. FornyHucker22 on

Is that his excuse?! Like it would be ok even if they were?

tbh I do not care if flags are flown or not but that is one stupid motherfucker

‘Gee had 39 previous sets of convictions for 113 offences,’

    Charming man.

  4. >Gee had 39 previous sets of convictions for 113 offences

    >However, Mr Riley said he was prepared to suspend the sentence, handing Gee an eight week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to complete ten days of rehabilitation activity, pay his victim £100 compensation, pay £85 towards prosecution costs and also pay a victim surcharge.

So basically its a case of the judge saying ‘stop being naughty and don’t do it again’. Absolutely no consequences for his actions even though he is a serial offender. If he had tweeted about it he would probably have been behind bars at the moment.

“The drunk ‘patriot’” – fixed their headline for them.

  6. Serious question, is there nothing the courts can do here that would be more effective?

Just thinking out of the box here, but perhaps, seize his car, sell it, and put the funds towards something beneficial to society?

Oh he was sorry and mortified that he attacked someone he thought was removing a flag but turns out it was only cctv – what did he think if they were removing the flag that it would have been justified???

Then the judge says never mind let’s give you a suspended sentence and a pat on the back who cares if he has 113 other previous convictions (that he’s been convicted for)…. Was he mortified that he did those things too? Sheesh

Someone willing to do this over a flat will do something similar again.

Why is drunk in scare quotes, when he’s obviously a drunk, but patriot isn’t in scare quotes, when he’s obviously not a patriot?

  10. Red_Brummy on

Wow. These Great British Christian Men have no place in Glorious Great British Society. They go against everything this Great British Culture and Values stand for.

  11. ThatsASaabStory on

How is that a suspended sentence?

Violent idiot has done it before and will do it again.

  12. DivePotato on

Drunken arsehole. Wouldn’t call this an act of patriotism.

  13. Lynex_Lineker_Smith on

39 previous convictions and 113 offences and he still walks away ??

    >Gee had 39 previous sets of convictions for 113 offences

Can anyone explain to me why he shouldn’t be in jail for life?

  15. Flags go up, flags go down. I didn’t grow up in the UK, but where I did, schools had national flags, and I was on flag duty. Every morning, we’d hoist it at the start of the school day and lower it when classes ended. If some unhinged, drunk “patriot” had come after us for lowering the flag, I’d have wanted them locked up!!! No question.

What a suprise that one of these types has a list of convictions as long as their arm. Bunch of thugs.

  17. SableSnail on

We need exponential backoff for sentences of repeat offenders.

Someone with 39 prior convictions should be looking forward to release in 2437.

  18. Defiant-Sand9498 on

Can’t tell you would I of done if it was me up the ladder but i bet i wouldn’t of got a suspended sentence

  19. bigpoopychimp on

So, Gee who is on benefits, constantly commits crime. Why aren’t we docking his benefits for a period of time, so that he can’t even afford alcohol, which sounds like is his problem.

We need to use community service a lot more.

Make this guy work 100hrs of something to compensate society for him being a twat.

I love how these British patriots always proudly wear sportswear from foreign companies which will be made in third world countries. They should support ‘r’ Great British companies.

  22. Admirable_Mix2745 on

Please can we use the correct term, ‘racist’, and not the common misspelling, ‘patriot’.

  23. 50_61S-----165_97E on

A patriot with 39 convictions… his love for country is definitely not reciprocated

  24. witchy71 on

As someone against the removal of our flags, what a fucking idiot

  25. Lemonpincers on

They are only mortified because of the mistaken identity, they would have clearly gladly attacked someone actually taking down a flag and should be treated as the violent danger to the public they are by receiving a custodial sentence

  26. Soppydogg on

    39 convictions
He probably has a chair with his name on it at the Magistrate’s Court, it’s a only a question of time before he is elected as a Reform Councillor

  27. philthybiscuits on

Interesting that they chose to put the word ‘drink’ in quotation marks, but not the word ‘patriot’.

  28. Sentence should have been to remove flags from lampposts or go to jail.

  29. diamond-lights on

Brain dead thing to do, seen people trying to push people off who are putting them up as well.

  30. Wild-Individual6876 on

Can we send him back to where he came from please! 113 previous offences!! What a drain on the country he is

  31. Mr_d0tSy on

Putting ‘drunk’ in quotes but not patriot, so his mental status is in question but whether or not he’s a patriot for assaulting workmen isn’t?
