    L’aria è sempre stata così inquinata?


    Come persona che vive qui ormai da un anno, ho detto che a volte l’aria è piuttosto cattiva e non è ancora estate.

    Capisco, tante macchine, niente vento ecc., ma è sempre stato così?

      The sky is just grey and cloudy where I am. This looks like a yellowish filter on your camera.

      As an archaeologist I can tell you that yes, even the prehistoric hunter-gatherers had to deal with pollution in their cities unfortunately. So don’t worry, it’s totally not a recent phenomenon linked to industrialisation, transport exhausts and other pollution.

      Though to be a bit more accurate, deforestation and pollution started in or even before the Roman period. I’m not sure how much worse pollution has got in the last couple decades, but I highly doubt it’s been decreasing.

      I thought the switched Cockerill-Sambre off a few years ago and it doesn’t look like that anymore
