I have seen more claims about Israelis travelling to Cyprus en masse than I have seen Israelis in Cyprus. Also this guy is full of shit and works for RT.
It’s kinda dangerous horseshit. Not because Israelis aren’t doing this, but rather because ‘real estate capture’ does not restrict itself to particular nationalities (in Cyprus Israelis are outpaced by Russians anyway), and framing it in such terms obfuscates the broader problem of tax regimes that are far too accommodating to foreign capital, and end up excluding locals from the market.
Other countries, like New Zealand, have long recognized this as a problem and moved in with substantial restrictions.
