Polish Tatars were people of Turkic origin, BUT “Turkic” doesn’t mean Turkish. With time, they largely switched to local languages like Polish.
Deportation-wise, Polish Tatars were not specifically targeted, but some were deported by the Soviets during WWII along with other people living in eastern Poland.
