    Full Translation:

The European Democrats spoke about the elections in Serbia, stating that the Serbian Progressive Party and President Aleksandar Vucic are responsible for violence and intimidation, and that accredited observers and activists were attacked in front of the polling stations in Bajina Bašta.

In a social media post, European Democrats said there were testimonies of SNS-related groups operating around polling stations and creating an atmosphere of fear.

“According to reports from Serbia, accredited election observers and activists were attacked and intimidated in front of the polling stations in Bajina Bašta. Witnesses describe groups of individuals associated with the SNS of Aleksandar Vucic acting around polling stations, creating fear and suppressing surveillance,” the statement said.

European Democrats estimate that such events are not isolated cases, but part of a broader pattern.

“This is Aleksandar Vucic’s democracy and this is not an incident, but a system. When violence protects the government, elections are no longer free,” they say.

They also addressed the European People’s Party, raising questions about their responsibility.

“Friends from the European People’s Party, how can you justify this? Is this really the standard you accept from your own political family?” the European Democrats say, reminding that the SNS is an associate member of the EPP.

Also worth noting from a recent social media post…..

“Sandro Gozi, Secretary General of the European Democratic Party, has therefore tabled a parliamentary question to the European Commission, calling for a clear condemnation, an independent investigation, and concrete consequences in the EU’s assessment of Serbia’s respect for the rule of law and democratic standards.”
