> There have been calls to sack Simon Dudley after he said the deaths were a “tragedy and a failure” but that “everyone dies in the end”.
This is pretty much on par with Jacob Rees Mogg when he suggested they died because they weren’t smart enough to leave. We all know why he dehumanises these people and doesn’t care…
We really shouldn’t be surprised by now that Reform members are mindless, senseless, brainless, heartless, careless morons yet every time one of these walking festering pustules of idiocy opens their gangrenous yaps we’re surprised just how utterly stupid and pathetic these faux-patriots really are.
Something that I have noticed from Reform, is they seem incapable of any positive messaging. So far I have never personally heard something along the lines of “we believe in this thing because we think it will make Britain more prosperous, happy and healthy” it’s always just “ban this”, “get over that”, “we have had too much etc for too long”.
So much for Reform being on the side of the common man!
I wonder if statements like this from Reform are cases of stupidity or if they’re intentional to generate more news coverage about them.
Deeply dehumanising gives too much weight to his words in my view. I’d just call him a fucking moron and move on.
Reform UK being totally out of touch and incapable of empathy for B̶r̶i̶t̶i̶s̶h̶ people?
What a shock.
Crass, dismissive and disrespectful, sure. I don’t see what was dehumanising about the statement however – it’s a weird pushback
These people are utter scum. They have no place in public office. Civilisation is rapidly becoming a race to the bottom.
Not even sure how they were offended by “well fires happen and you know everybody dies sometime right 🤷♂️” I mean that’s a very compassionate look at one of the worst tragedies we’ve had in recent years.
I’m absolutely shocked!! Don’t they know reform are here to save this country – and if it means lowering standards so we can build super flammable shitbox houses for our kids that’s just the price we have to pay dammit!
And let’s be fair in a time when heating bills are so high some people can’t get warm isn’t flammability really a benefit?
That’s a polite wording. I’d say the comments were fucking disgraceful
Remember, your Reform-voting relative might not see this on their algorithm. Use this as an opportunity to discuss with them if this is *really* who they want to align with, and how they would feel of their loved ones had been at Grenfell.
Wonder if he’ll comment on the Sarah Everard case next?
“Yeah it’s a shame she got raped and murdered but everyone dies in the end, it’s just how you go, right? You can’t stop tragic things from happening.”
Why anyone would expect empathy or compassion from Reform, I have no idea.
I absolutely detest Reform and everything they stand for but isn’t this just a poorly worded comment on the over-regulation of housing post-Greenfell?
He even says Greenfell was a failure of regulation. So his point isn’t that those deaths were acceptable.
Good, I’m glad they called Reforms comments that because the more bad press these lunatics get, the less chance they’ll ever get in.
I’m so old I remember when Baroness Lawrence said “if the victims were white, the fire men would have rescued them”. And yet there was nowhere near as much outrage?
Imagine these cunts getting their hands on the NHS
They died because the cladding was unsafe and they were told to remain in their flats and not try to evacuate. Because in a normal fire without the dangerous cladding that is the safer thing to do.
It was a horrific disaster and this reaction just shows that even when you think Reform can’t go any lower, they somehow find a way.
> everyone dies in the end
Apparently, this is a controversial statement – in certain reality-detached groups
I wonder what Dudley would think if he had a heart attack or other life-threatening event and the doctors said to him, “We could treat you but it would cost some money, and everyone dies in the end. So good luck, you’re on your own.”
