Un uomo di 87 anni è stato ricoverato in ospedale domenica pomeriggio dopo essersi schiantato con la sua auto contro un albero ad Attard.
L’incidente è avvenuto a Triq in-Nutar Zarb ad Attard. Un portavoce della polizia ha detto che l’uomo, che era alla guida di una Bmw, è stato portato all’ospedale Mater Dei.
In una dichiarazione della polizia di lunedì, la polizia ha affermato che le condizioni dell’uomo sono gravi.
L’incidente ha causato un intenso traffico sulla strada.
Quindi, dovrebbero essere effettuati ulteriori test per le persone di età superiore a una certa età per vedere se sono ancora sicure da guidare? Credo di si.

Additional tests at the age of 87? He shouldn’t have a license in the first place.

There should be, but will the government do it at the cost of votes from disgruntled elders? (i.e. their main voter base).
Probably not.
And yet the government decided to crack down on drug testing.
Dont get me wrong its a good initiative.
But someone like me who is a regular smoker; if i smoke at any point on Saturday or Sunday and go to work on Monday and god forbid i get stopped or get into an accident. All blame will be put on me because it is showing in my system.
Kinda discriminatory imo. So alcoholics can technically drive if under the limit but i cant?
I just see this zero tolerance is a bit draconian.
