We need to start ferrying people from the camps in France and get them properly set up and supported in the UK. Otherwise women and children will continue to die because they can’t get to a safe country

Thank goodness I’m seeing this on Reddit and not Facebook. The laughing reacts remind me of the soullessness of people

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They have no reason to leave a safe country like France other than to try and sponge off what they see as soft Britain

If you made the leader of this country liable for punishment for each death, how quickly would these stop?
We were promised the boats would stop, it hasn’t happened, and people keep dying.

People, mostly in removed comments, always seem to have “simple” or “Common Sense” solutions to this, but the fact is that there isn’t really an answer that is all of legal, quick and easy. The simplest realistic solution would be some kind of agreement with France and / or the EU. The current “one in one out” trial might actually work once its scaled up, we’ll see.
