That’d be a NYC taxi by the looks of it. They’ve right of way across all irish roads

Must be the Dublin version. I had a van flash his lights and beep at me this morning for being in his way. He was travelling down the wrong way of a 1 way.

    3. DoireBeoir on

Must be assuming that the yellow car is on the main road (which does t match the sign)

Is it only 30 questions now ? Was 40 when i did it.

‘After you!’ ‘No, after you…’ ‘No, after you.’ ‘’Go on, now…’ *Everyone tries to go together*.

Could just be based on the wrong country or a mistake.

But I can also see how it’s suggesting that because the yellow car is in motion and much closer to the junction than the blue car then its safer to slow down and let it through than risk a collision.

    7. SnaggleWaggleBench on

To me that looks like it should be blue then red then yellow.

    8. Well clearly the yellow car is the bigger car, and it should show its dominance by eating the smaller car, and the cyclist.

    9. TheBaggyDapper on

The yellow car has a better shot at taking out the cyclist. Yellow will then stop to check for damage leaving you free to nip in ahead of everyone and have a clear run to the next junction.

Im guessing this is not the official app so you get what you pay for? 😛

    11. Broken line on the blue car means its a main road. The crossing sign is an alert. The yellow car should have a stop sign.

plow through the crossroads disregarding cyclists and vunerable road users while huffing gas

    13. 4_feck_sake on

If that was a roundabout, then yeah, you yield to the right.

    14. OrlandoGardiner118 on

Maybe the yellow car is actually a BMW, Merc or Audi. Did you ever think about that, huh?

    15. DecentOpinions on

OP you have forgotten the Rainbow Rule that states the order of priority for cars. Red has precedence over all cars so stops for nobody, not even the Gardaí. Orange only yields to yellow. Yellow yields to orange and red and so on. If you were driving a relatively peasant Blue like in the example you bow to nearly everybody except Indigo and Violet plebs. All of this is reversed in the Southern Hemisphere obviously.

If two cars meet with the same colour, whichever car has the newer tax disc has right of way.

    16. violetcazador on

Don’t bother with that, get the official disc and just do the “practice tests”. I sat about 50 of them and passed the theory test no problem.

    17. Murderbot20 on

Isnt the yellow sign saying the blue car is on a priority road (dunno the correct name) over the yellow car?

    18. outhouse_steakhouse on

Is there a clue in blue’s license plate number? I can’t quite make it out but it looks like “VUAI 30FT”.

    19. markk123123 on

The New York taxi driver will get right of way when he shouts “Hey I’m drivin heeeree🤌”

    20. RollerPoid on

Given the markings which are very poor, this is correct. The blue car is moving from one road to another, and therefore should give right of way to any vehicles already in the road they wish to enter.

    21. radiogramm on

That looks more like a misunderstanding of priority systems.

The yellow cab doesn’t have any right of way.
They’re on a minor road (according to the diamond sign) and driving across a major road, and the roads markings are wrong. Should be a stop line at least.

      1. Car turning left
      2. Bike turning right
      3. Car crossing major road, when clear.

    22. slinkydink90 on

Open to correction here, but I think it’s because the yellow car has already arrived/stopped at the junction, whereas the blue car is only coming up to it? But yeah, not a great example here as the blue car is on the main road.

    23. atticdoor on

It’s an unmarked crossroads- note that there are no “give way” lines on the perpendicular road either.

    24. That popped in my home feed and, as a right hand driving person, I was hella confused for a minute lol

    25. derfel_ie on

I reckon the sign in the image is wrong and it’s supposed to show that it’s 2 roads of equal importance. then the answer makes sense and so does having that as a question.
