So we now have a new Labour deputy leader elected by the party who was sacked from the cabinet last month by leader Kier Starmer. Clearly a man with his fingers on the pulse of his party.
Labour party members showing again they have no idea how to connect with the electorate at large…
This is a disaster for labour and just furthers the reform cause sadly.
Lucy Powell was in my class at Parrs Wood High. Sensible shoes, mid-length skirt, studious and well-behaved, teachers loved her, never got invited to parties. Total opposite of me. .
Which is probably why she’s the deputy leader of a governing political party and I’m spending Saturday morning on Reddit 😳

I’m honestly it’s not Philipson as she’d just have been an absolute yes man to Starmer. She also doesn’t strike me as particularly charismatic and leaderlike

How long before the media go after her for the tiniest little thing?
Got my vote. Think having a counter balance, even if slight, is better than someone who just furthers Starmer’s current direction
