  1. This ranking is house PURCHASE ability and has nothing to do with general housing affordability since most people rent.

The article doesn’t provide any sources and is incredibly vague on what income they use. In one place they mention “median disposable household income” without giving any definition of what “disposable” means.

Its list of “developed countries” is also very much incomplete since neither Liechtenstein, Andorra nor Monaco are listed.

And the website, [upperclasscareer.com](http://upperclasscareer.com), is some random faceless blog with a gmail address and no other info about them.

So the only conclusion is that this article is AI generated bullshit with no actual foundation and should not be given any attention at all.

No it doesn’t. It feels worse, the main reason it’s even worse elsewhere is that their inflation was even worse than ours. Things are not better, just less bad than in the countries after the 20th rank.

Being able to compare Prague and Zurich, it is somewhat more affordable in Zurich.

Especially renting in Zurich is a dream when comparing the rent to average/median income.

You can probably find apartment in Prague faster, though.

  4. My income is in the bottom 25 percentile and yet I was able to afford a house.. Don’t know if that would be possible in other countries.

Affordability is one thing but availability is the bigger issue
