I am 45 & recently tried to get a mammogram and I was refused, even if I paid out of pocket. While my notoriously shitty health system in my home country starts them at 40. (I really don’t understand why I can’t just pay if it will not be covered by insurance.)
My husband also would like to get a colonoscopy and was also refused @ 46.
The Swiss system needs to wake up & instead of providing senior citizens with large doses of unneeded Dafalgan, perhaps allow controls at younger ages, especially with family history of cancer, which both my husband and I have.
