  1. I love cats, have one but by christ there’s nothing worse on earth than the smell of cat shit especially when you’re cutting the lawn and find an unexpected surprise.

Get a life, humans are a lot more detrimental daily to the environment than any cat

Im surprised at this judgement and welcome it. Cat owners that let their cats out freely are an entitled bunch of people who claim to be animal lovers. I have mentioned on here before about the difficulties i had with a cat sneaking into my house and damaging furniture. I ended up catching it in a box and releasing it outside the local pound when they refused to take it in. Now at least it looks like their is a civil court way to deal with it.

My Thai neighbour recently complained about her dog “eating cat shit”…probably the funniest thing I’ve heard

I’ll never understand why people let their cats roam free. Most aren’t even neutered or vaccinated. Keep them inside, give them supervised outside time.

I adore cats but they decimate fauna. They’re also at risk for loads of things- being run over, being attacked by animals/ vile people, picking up illnesses. Idk why people act like they aren’t domesticated animals just like dogs.

Videos of a cat defecating is one of the strangest kinks I’ve heard off.

Keep your cats on your own property. Its your cat not my cat not the cat of the neighborhood/estate. I don’t want your cat in my garden as I hate the dam things.

This country needs to follow Australia in introducing stricter laws around ownership. Restricting cats to the home or making owners install fencing or cages.

If my dog walked into their garden and shit they’d be over in a light giving out and calling me an irresponsible owner. But it’s ok for them to let their pet roam the area.

I assume the court threw this out.

Imagine bird feeders being shown to attract birds and your car has been shat on….

    🤷‍♂️ wasting the court’s 🕰️

Good , the sooner pet owners got a bit of cop on and realised its their pet and not the whole neighbourhoods, the better . If I wanted a cat to shit in my garden, I’d buy one

Did anyone moaning about the cat actually read the article ?

    > “A court of law is the last place a dispute between neighbours should end up,” he told both parties. He said Kennedy pleaded she was a responsible pet owner by allowing her cat out, which she was entitled to do.

He said he could not see any evidence of the Kennedy cat damaging the Nugent garden with its small paws but he could see it pawing soil. Often dogs or foxes left an even greater mess in gardens in seconds.

“Quite honestly this is something I believe should move on,” he said.

Also there is something wrong in this country when someone is awarded >  €6,000 damages , for a cat shiting in their garden.

I found this little bit interesting as well ,

    > threw out her counter claim for compensation for harassment and restraining orders against Mr Nugent who was filmed on a door-cam persistently ringing their unanswered doorbell and rapping their door knocker.

At one point in the hours-long “suite” of videos, Ms Nugent’s husband was recorded following Kennedy up to her front door and allegedly putting his foot in the doorway, telling her he would take it out when she kept her cat out of their garden.

(Edit: The actual final judgement as well in the higher court

    >He did not think cats could be put on a lead when allowed out for their constitutionals. His was not a criminal court and the people before him were civilized people living in a civilized neighbourhood.

Judge McCourt said he was prepared to spend whatever hours were necessary to view all the videos and listen to all of the evidence and would do so after lunch but following the lunch adjournment he was told he could vacate the lower court’s orders and strike out the appeal with no order for costs.

Edit Edit sorry for the arrows i dont think im doing the quote thing properly tbh. )

I have 4 cats. They’re not really mine as in I didn’t go out to procure them. They just landed at my door & I felt sorry for them & started feeding them. Then they decided to make themselves at home in my house, so I let them. I got them spayed/neutered so they wouldn’t reproduce. I live rurally so people have more cop on than in more urban areas.
