This is so symptomatic of our self-inflicted weakness in Europe.

US “peace” plan needs to be unanimously railed upon by European leaders. No going to Washington begging, just refuse it, and publicly tell them to fuck off, if they go through with this.
It’s almost as if you can’t trust Americans. Why do we care about what they think about Europe’s contribution again? They do nothing and are just on the take.
There is also zero requirement to let them do this. Their president is about to get the nonce treatment and is the weakest he’s ever been, Russia is still struggling and will have postwar consequences to deal with, and the US is already doing nothing for Ukraine and tariffing allies. They have little leverage here.
Come the hell on. Why can’t a European country grow a spine for once and tell Trump to shove it?

Can we please stop calling it a “peace plan”. It is an ultimatum from the US for Ukraine and the West to surrender.

I’m a little surprised everyone is losing their mind over this plan, bemoaning Europe not being included and so on.
Guys, the plan is certified insane. Just like Trump’s last peace proposal a couple of months ago it’s not going to be accepted and implemented. And with the US having already ceased most support to Ukraine they don’t even have much leverage left to force this.
It’s irrelevant. It’s not going to happen.
There is no “US peace plan”, there is putin’s list of demands and trump is just his secretary at this point.

The US peace plan is a big distraction of nothing Zelenskyy will go to the white house probably take Macron or Starmer and he will be back to backing Ukraine.
Me personally I would send Zelenskyy and Boris that man can could probably talk Trump into giving them more weapons.
